whose return to show business was highlighted last
spring by his phenomenally successful sold-out national
concert tour, will launch his new tour in October with
10 appearances in nine major cities. He will appear in
concert at Madison Square (harden in New York on
Saturday and Sunday, October 12 and 13. His October
13 concert at Madison Square Garden will be televised
“live” as an ABC-'IV Special, “Sinatra - I'he Main
F-'vent - Madison Square Garden.” The Special is
regarded as one of the new television season’s most

HOLLYWOOD TV TICKER - Now that “Kung Eu”
star DAVID CARRADINI-^ and family are more
available for interviews, journalists have been flocking
to their Laurel Canyon retreat. BARBARA SEAGULL,
David’s live-in girlfriend, insisted on breast-feeding their
2-year-old son, I’REE, all during one interview. The
interviewer was so uncomfortable (he blushed,
according to one source, for one whole hour) that he
finally got up and left ... HELEN REDDY’s
husband-nianager, JbEE WALD, gave her a pleasant
and sort of unusual surprise. He bought a fabulous
Brentwood mansion for her at a healthy $200,000, and
didn’t say anything to her about it. He told her to
look under her pillow and see what she found. It was
the deed to the house. Tooth fairy, move
over. .. Rumblings on the set of “'The Waltons” are
gelling increasingly louder. Despite the image produced
by this series, things appear to be plagued with
disharmony. As 1 reported many months ago,
RICHARD 'THOMAS’ ego is still a problem, and the
situation wasn’t helped any when MKTIAEL
LliARNED won an Emmy and not Richard. However,
winning an Emmy has not helped Ms. Learned’s
outlook any. It seems her personal problems have
becoi7ie so overwhelming that she’s chosen to become
a hermit on the set.
TV HOTLINE - SONNY BONO has been ousted from
the home he once siiared wilh CHT.K - as you know
they had been living in different sections of the house
- by court order. Cher is sharing the plush pad with
