Always, Pure Serenity Blue Magic, Sister Sledge and Major Harris combine this weekend to make Soul Train a televised sixty-minute showcase of musical talent. Blue Magic, adding visual appeal with their stylistic, imaginative choreography, show off their “Philadelphia Sound” with “Never Get Over You”, “Love Has Found Its Way to Me” and “Side Show” from their first album, “Blue Magic”. In a little over a year, the group has rocketed from total obscurity to gold-record stat us under the guidance of lead singer Ted Mills, a veteran of Philadelphia street corner groups. Four sisters. Debbie. Joni. Kim and Kathie, known as Sister Sledge, perform the title song from their first album, “Circle of Love”, and their first single, “Love Don’t You Go Through No Changes on Me”. Although each is a “lead” vocalist, Kathie, the youngest, usually fills that position for the group which already developed an impressive following on the Eastern seaboard and in the African country of Zaire. Major Harris, formeriy of the Delphonics, captivates with “Love Won’t Let Me Wait”. Host-producer Don Cor nelius and the Soul Train dancers provide added spice to the show. fanWopi^ by /etVK-lRK.
