The young golfer, last year’s CIAA champion and a senior business admini stration major, has captur ed medalist honors in two straight tourneys. Reid fired a three-over par 75 in the October FSU Invitational golf tourney at the local Gates Four Golf Club to capture medalist honors and lead the Bronco golfers to a 26-stroke team win over visiting CIAA golf teams St. Augustine’s College, Virginia Union, and Virginia State College. Reid dropped three birdies and finished with a card of 38-37. Three other Bronco golfers shot in the 70’s and they were Andre victory at the tourney. The FSU club won the top four individual spots and swept a 23-stroke team ioaoo«ap DURHAM-Detenaing champion South Carolina State and North Carolina A&T both won very handily Saturday afternoon to gain a share of the 1975 Mid-Eastern Athletic Con ference football champion ship. South Carolina State defeated Delaware State 39-0 in Orangeburg, South Carolina while A&T jump ed off to an early lead and went on to defeat North Carolina Central, 34-16 in Greensboro, N.C. A&T and S.C. State finished the season with identical 5-1 conference records. Howard scored in the last two minutes to break a tie to defeat Morgan State 22-16 Friday night in Washington, D.C. Mary- land-Eastern Shore was Idle Saturday. South Carolina State and Maryland-Eastern Shore have games to play this week. South Carolina State will meet Wofford in Orangeburg Saturday after noon at 2 o’clock and Maryland-Eastern Shore travels to Orlando, Fla. to meet Bethune-Cookman in a 2 o’clock contest. South Carolina State scored on the fourth play of the game and went on to defeat Delaware State by a convincing score. A&T scored three quick touchdowns in the first quarter and held off North Carolina Central for a 34-16 victory. Michael Banks hit Juluis Gamble with a 48-yard pass with 1:53 left in the game to give Morgan State a 22-16 setback at the hands ol Howard. Donald Barnes scored on a three-yard run in the first quarter for Howard to give the Bison an early lead. The homestanders added three points on a field goal by Gamble before the halftime for a 9-0 lead. Morgan got a field goal from Duane Danner to cut the lead to 9-3 at intermission. Atter Howard increased its lead to 16-3 Morgan tied the game on a three-yard run by Munford and a 14-yard pass from Robert Crowley to Mark Durden.
