WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 4.1976 A RIDDLE IN RHYMES by Rev. T.M. Walker WHAT AMI? I'm like a potter but more sophisticated, Sitting at my scheduled task. I sometimes bother with values syncopated, Trying to give wrhat the public asks. A selection here, and another one there But not all are for spinning try. The next thing near to my busy desk chair Is what I proclaim in a voice spry. WHAT AM I? In measured time I hasten through papers, Timing everything to come out right. On listening hnes I can't cut any capers; So I just make my talks polite. Advertisers listen to hear my gift of gab On their products priced low or high. Words typed or written sent by mail or cab Expect me to not pass them by. WHAT AM I? I keep something swirling between my adlibing Which my job is mostly about. Its to some disturbing as others keep living And listening till my time is out. When I' m off the job resting at home, I throw aside coat and neck-tie So as not to rob myself of any sweet tone Of restful music from a station nigh. WHAT AM ? Evidences Of Love By JAMES R. WALKER, SR. Have you ever had a feeling There was something in your breast. Clinging, even after kneeling. Robbing sleep and peaceful rest? Darling, that is love. Love is something none can hold As a secret in the heart; It makes known to young and old. It has virtues to impart. Darling, set love free. Love is annoying unexpressed Causing much dissatisfaction; Inner life remains distressed Till our love is given action. Darling, make love active. What has life to offer. Dear Richer than the viture, love? Inner love keeps angels near. Reproducing heav'n above. Darling, nurture love.
