THE TRIBUNAL AID WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 3,1976 A RIDDLE IN RHYMES bv Rev. T.M. Walker WHAT AM I? Nobody now days can get along without me Because I’m used one way or other. Standing by high ways I’m useful as can be As I hold lines together. With foot well planted I stand with arms Spread wide and reaching high It’s taken for granted I'm plentiful on farms Where I live until I die. WHAT AM I? I’m useful in homes as well as outside, But 1 am fashioned into different things. One observes as he roams far and wide That I’m shelter for creatures with wings. When the poets write and the artists paint, Seldom do they pass me by. Whether day or night I offer no complaint From having to stand exposed to sky. WHAT AM I? Of course I stand on my frazzled foot Until I’m felled and trimmed for use. It’s in God’s plan that I help things cook And be warm without any excuse. Now look at your dwelling and contents also; Value them and then ask why I'm selling in the markets fore-ever more Whether priced low or high. WHAT AM I?
