IS YOUR
CONSCIOUS CLEAR?
By J. F. JOHNSON
It must have been liorirfylng
to those Interested in the nor*
mal and orderly development of
the youth to rend in the newspapers
a few days ago the account
of a boy who was arrested,
having beeu charged with
the commission of sundry and
various crimes. What the outcome
in the cases against the
ad will be?The Future Outlook
Is unahle to say. However,
we wonder If the citizens of the
city of Greensboro can feel that
they have rendered their full
duty to this little fellow, and
that they are rendering the
Christ-like care to other little
fellows in I heir formative
yen r*.
In Greensboro we have a Y.
M.C.A., a Community Center, u
truant officer, welfare department,
day nurseries, fine
schools, churches, etc.
We are simply asking these
agencies If they are going into
the various communities consulting
with parents, lending a
helping hand and a word of encouragement
where It is needed,
in order that the youth of their
communities might be guided in
the right direction. If the leaders
of the eitv of Greensboro
have done thin, then they ran
stand before the bar of publie
opinion with a clear conscious.
If not. then the cause of right*
^usness ought to rise up and
pol^t a condemning finger at
them,' mnd continue this coodenin'inR
