. Poplar Grave
The Poplar Grove school has
had a very active week with
Operettas being presented by the
. primary and grammar grades.
On May 9 the grammar grades
presented an Operetta, "Cinderella,"
under the direction of
Mrs. Alvarada Irvin and Miss
Lucille Dean. The characters
were very fittingly selected for
each part and showed superb
training on the part of each
teacher. On May 16. the primary
grades also presented the Operetta,
"Fairies Are Really True"
under the direction of Mrs. Anne
Reynolds, Miss Viola Boone, and
Miss Ruth V. Comer. The auditorium
was filled to capacity,
and the little ones were at their
best, which also showed dramatic
technique on the part of the
teachers.
Mrs. l\Iartlia Sebastian was
the very outstanding guest at
our program Friday night, and
while there was presented a
booklet of book reviews by one
of the pupils, Virginia Waugh,
