It's the time when we have returned from our vacations and our studies with new thoughts and plenty of energy to carry out the ideas gained from our widened contacts. In other words, we are "back to our knitting," and ready for activities. Taking a look at the calendar, we see a varied and Interesting program for clubs and commit lees. September 9 & 23: Young Matrons' clnh (2nd and 4th Tuesdays). September 1G: The Committee of Management will hold a Setting-up conference to outlind objectives for this year. ^September 16: The Public Afi / fairs Committee meeting. At -* this meeting Mr. Wilburn, Wright, of the N. C. Emt ployment office, will speak ' on "Job Opportunities for Negro Women in Greensi boro.". j September. 17: The Beehive club meets. This club is for all employed women in shops, homes, and industry. 3 Each Thursday during the entire year the PROTO club meets. The program is , " composed of fact, fun and crafts. The girls are interested in doing something for others and take an active part in everything helpful. Just recently they ralsL. ed $10 for the Milk Fund. October will see the Community Chest drive in full swing. The Y. W. C. A. is an agency >. of Che Chest, so let's get right in and see that the entire Chest goal is reached. October 1S-19 will see the Y. W. C. A. Neighboring conference in Winston-Salem. Further notices later. October 14 is National Y. W. C. A. Day ,a big, big occasion in our program.
