Annual B The Hi-Y Boys of the City and County Schools of Greensboro will attend the Annual Older Boys' Conference to be held at Salisbury, North Carolina, April 18, 19, 20, at the J. C. Price High School. The Theme for this Years's Conference will be "Youth Facing Present Crisis". This year the Haves-Tavlor Y M P A in nr> operation with the City and County Schools plan to take to this Conference the largest number of boys that has ever assembled for a conference of Older Boys from Greensboro. There will be approximately 30 boys leaving for this Conference .These boys are from the various schools?Dudley High, Brown Summit, Summerfiled, J. C. Price, Mt Zion, Lincoln Street, Lutheran Grammar and Jonesboro. This Conference is designed to bring together all Hi-Y, Gra-Y Boys' Clubs from all sections of the state. Ideas and suggestions are made concerning Hi-Y and Gra-Y Clubs in Schools and Communities. During the period these Boys are away, they will visit many historical places in Salisbury, They will visit, Livingstone College, The Southern Railway Shop, Boone's Cave and the National Cemetery. Some of the Boys making this trio will be, James Howell, James Watson, Walter Harrison, John Benton, George Neal, Theodore Yancey, Norman Little, Horace Chavis, Joseph Buggs. Charles Summers, Herman Poole, James Fuller, Charles Chambers, Robert Whitsett, David Brewster* Melvin Ghaham, Jack Frazier, J. Van Herderson. Mr. E. Harper, Bops' Work Secretary is advisor to these boys. Mr. D. W. Morehead, Executive Secretary will also attend the Conference. Many outstanding people will present, including, Major E. L. Hardin who will welcome the boys to Salisbury. Principal speaker for the evening will be Rev. Kelly O. P. Goodwin of Winston-Salem who recently returned from Africa Dr. W. J. Trent, president of Livingstone College will address thei conference during the banquet on Saturday. Miss B. B. Leonard, Mother of the conference will conduct devotions. Miss Leonard has attended this conference for many many years.
