Message To The People
Rey. J. L. Foushee
Minister pt God
For whosoever shall call upon
the name of the Lord shall be
saved How then shall they call
on Him in whom they have not
believed? And how shall they
believe in Him of whom they
have not heard? and how shall
they hear without a preacher?
Rom. 10-13:14.
Today the whole world needs
to call upon the name of the
Lord and be saved. How shall
they do it? They must believe
that Jesus Is, and that the gift
of God is eternal life. We must
hear what God says through
His servant, the preacher. The
poet speaks in the hymn:
Go preach my gospel saith the
Lord,
Bid the whole world my grace
receive
He shall be saved who trusts my
word;
And he condemned who wont
believe.
The believer looks to Jesus
day by day. 1. For guidance
through this world that is in
fested with trouble and all
kinds of injustice.
2. For heart searching; Lord
is it I? create in me a clean
heart O God, and renew the
right spirit within me. Psalm
51:10. And
3. For power to live on the
Heavenly level. The people to
day don't believe and need to
come to God and acknowledge
their sin and hear the gospel
preached by His servant who
points them to the Lamb of God
who takes away the sin of the
world.
Let us pray:
Heavenly Father, we thank
Thee that Than have an
swered our prayers. We pray
tor the whole world that they
may hear and believe In
Jeans Christ. Amen.

American Red Cross SOS -
Support Our Servicemen Campaign
j. ne continuing increases in
U. S. military strength in South
Vietnam, at home and in other
parts of the world has brought
a corresponding sharp upsurge
in American Red Cross services
to the men and women in the
armed forces.
Regardless of how one feels
about the present conflict, there
is great need for supporting our
servicemen ? ARC provides wel
fare services to maintain morale
of able-bodied men, including
emergency communications be
tween them and their families
back home and assuring them
that their families are being
assisted as needed; gives wel
fare and audience-participation
recreation services to men in
hospitals and on hospital ships;
takes recreation programs to
servicemen in the field through 1
recreation center / clubmobile
activities.
These and other services for
our armed forces are a part of
the Congressional mandate to
the American Red Cross. To
carry them out as we believe
the American public wishes
them carried out Is requiring
greater sums of money than
have been raised to date in the
1968 Campaign.
Some ARC Chapters will have
a March Campaign, others will
have a t vpplementary drive to
meet goals because of failure of
j their community's United Fund
Greensboro's United Fund
was successful. The total goal of
the American Red Cross was
raised. So, this Chapter is not
launching a Fund Campaign.
Red Cross in these neighbor
ing communities that are having
total goal ? or supplementary
goal ? campaigns does need help
of all media. They are: Ala
mance, Caswell, Chatham, Da
vie, Randolph, Surry, and Yad
kin County Chapters and Lex
ington-Davidson and West
Rockingham Chapters.
Also, ARC needs to use this ;
March period to emphasize all |
its services, thank the people
who have contributed through
their United Funds and urge

those who have not supported
ARC through United Campaigns
to do so now direct to their
Chapters.
Our smaller neighbors look to
Greensboro media for help in
"telling the story". Our national
organization has provided Chap
ters with materials for radio,
TV, newspapers, industrial pub
lications, billboards, etc to sup
port the SOS Campaign and to
say THANK YOU for Helping
the United Way.
Not since World War II has
there been a more urgent need
for funds for ARC to carry on
all its services. Thank You for
your continuing help in telling
the ARC and the UF story in
March ? and in the months
ahead.
