DEATHS AND FUNERALS BISHOP W. M. KANKIN Bishop William Morris Ran kin, age 94 of 306 Shoifner Ct., died Monday, June 25, 1970 at L. Richardson Memorial Hos pital, alter a lengthy illness. Funeral services were held Sunday, June 28, 1970 at 4:00 P.M. from New Goshen United Methodist Church, with the Rev. V. F. Jeffies, former pastor of Motens Temple, officiating. Survivors are: his wife, Mrs. Mamie Donnell Rankin of the home; two daughters, Miss Leida A. Rankin of Syracuse, New York, and Mrs. Ada E. Cowan of Charlottesville, Va., one son, Robert Rankin of Greensboro, N. C.; one brother, Turner Rankin of Greensboro, N. C., seven grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, seven great great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and a host of relatives and friends. Hargett Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. MR. MILTON JORDAN, JR. Mr. Milton Jordan, Jr., age 31, a former resident of Greens boro died Sunday, June 28th at Castle Point Veterans Hospital, Beacon, N. Y. following a briel illness. The body arrived Brown's Funeral Home Tuesday morn ing. Funeral service was held Thursday, July 2nd, 3:30 P-M. Brown's Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed in White Oak Grove Cemetery. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Dorothy Jordan, Beacon, N. Y.; mother, Mrs. Jeanette Johnson Jordan, Greensboro, N. C., father; Milton Jordan, Brown Summit, N. C.; daughters. Brown's Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements. MR. JOHN E. HAYNES, SR. Mr. John E. Haynes Sr., age 73 of 1420 Blueberry Lane, died June 26, 1970, at L. Richardson Memorial Hospital, after a lengthy illness. Funeral services were held Wednesday, July 1, 1970 at 2:00 P. M. in Hargett Memorial Chapel, with the Rev. J. A. Bethea, pastor of St. Matthews United Methodist Church, of ficiating. Survivors include seven daugh ters, Mrs. Dorothy Steele of Morristown, N. SCOTT WHITE Mr. Scott White, brother of Mrs. Hattie White, Greensboro, N. C., died Tuesday, June 30, 1970 at a Laurinburg Hospital, after a brief illness.
