and was viewed shortly after
her death on television participating
in a Christmas Cantata
by the choir. (The taping was
done previously). She was also
a member of Missionary Group
No. 6 and the Southwest Wing,
Surviving are: daughters, Mrs.
Jene Guy, Mrs. Shirley Morehead,
Miss Patricia Ledwell and
Miss Sharon Ledwell; sons
Fred, Jr., Robert and Phillip
sisters, Mrs. Lillie Mae Simpson,
Mrs. Willie Mae Moses;
Mrs. Ruby Neal, Mrs. Beatrice
Gilyard, Mrs. Bessie McMannus,

for Mr. Lonnie Pfunanier
Byarm Jr. on Sunday, Dec.
26 at 2:00 p.m. at the Church
jf the Redeemer. Interment followed
in Piedmont Cemetery.
Mr. Byarm, 45, of 1502 Blu[ord
St., a native of Greensboro,
and a teacher in the Greensboro
School System died Friday, Dec.
24, 1971, in the Moses H. Cone
Hospital, following a sudden illness
at his home.
He was a graduate of A&T
State University, apd received i
his masters degree from A&T,
after serving in the Army during
World War II.
He was an athletic official for
many years with the Piedmont
Board of Officials, Central InterCollegiate
Athletic Association,
The North Carolina Athletic Officials
Association, and the
North State Athletic Officials
Association.
He formerly taught at Immanuel
Lutheran Junior College,
Winston-Salem State Uni

On December 19th, the home
f the Greggs, 1109 Gorrell St.
/as the scene of much happlless
and joy.
The occasion was a festive
me ? the meeting of the Joran
clan ? two brothers, four
isters and their families.
The get together took us back
n our memories to the old fashoned
manner of observing
Christmas.
The day was an exciting one.
["he Yuletide spirit prevailed
Ve engaged in many activities
uch as exchanging greetings,
ilaying and sinelne Christmas
arols, watching TV interviews,
aking pictures, and making reordings.
Most of the happenrigs
were recorded by tape and
?ictures taken by a movie camra,
as we engaged in various
ictivities.
Prior to the feast, Mrs. Ern:stine
Jordan Stewart led a
Drief devotion. James Roddey,
i great nephew read the Christmas
Story.
After the devotion period, a
ielicious dinner was served
suffet style. All the food and
joodies that make up a Christmas
dinner was enjoyed by all.
After dinner we assembled
tround the Christmas tree where
?ifts were given to each person
in attendance. Mesdames
Carolyn Mallette and Ernestine
freeman were in charge. Again
tve joined in singing more
Christmas carols led by a niece,
Mrs. Cynthia Roddey. Mrs.
Ruth Jordan Plair presided at
the piano.
Jequetta and Taryn Mallette,
young nieces interviewed every
person present. These were re
coraea ior iuture enjoyment.
Mr. Gregg was chief photographer
and camera man.
This was truly a memorable
occasion for the Jordan clan ?
one not soon to be forgotten.
As night began to fall, those
who had to report for duty
Monday morning began to
wend their way homeward.
Seven* of the group started
their journey homeward Monday
morning.
Those attending the family
get together were: Mrs. Ernestine
Jordan Stewart and Mr.
