IN MEMORIUM
For Mrs. Mamie Foster Jordan
who departed this life April j
9, 1971. This is a time for prayer, I
meditation, and dedication. It
is a time for thankfulness that
thou didst dwell among us.
"For their works do follow them.
Thus saith the Lord"
So may we look upward,
Our hope fixed on God,
And follow the pathway
Our loved one has trod.

'Open Mind' E<
For Bobby Wym
Eighteen-year-old Robert L.
Wynn II believes in keeping an
"open mind." He's that way
about his studies, race relations
and life.
Apparently his personal philosophy
pays off for him, for
this week the brainy youngster
was named a recipient of a pres-i
tigious Morehead Scholarship,
to attend the University of North
Carolina. The award for four
year's of study is worth $9,000.
Bobby, as he is generally
known around Greensboro, is
the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert

"I was really surprised to be
nominated by my school for one
of the awards," said Bobby, "but
I had an open mind as far as
my chances of being selected."
