The Executive order of October j23<:
1933, exempting from the .pre^sions^
of the President’s Reemployment
Agreement and from approved cpdes
certain employers located in towns
under 2,500 population applies, only, to
employers engaged in trades, or scr^
vices of which the operations are
customarily confined to local areas.
It does not apply to those trades nr
cervicesin which operations ordinarily
extend over a relatively yyi^e
and include a number of, commyni-,
ties. The Executive order .UherejjQre,
does riot exempt from the provisions^
jf the President’s Reemployment,
Agreement and from' the ’'prqyisan^
of any code those employees engaged

Mr! John Plott of the N. C. Forest
Service, visited Saturday and Sunday
at his home in Haywood county.
Irwin Walker of Camp P-61, Lake
Lure, Sundayed at Pinnacle Side
Camp.He served as medical first aid
man in the absence of Dr. Sherard.
Several men left camp Friday en
route to their homes so as to be sure
to be in their home precinct for Tues
day’s election.
We haven’t been able to sleep well
at night the past week on account of
fox races in the adjacent mountains.
Mr. F. W. Blevins has been on the
sick list the last few days.
Mr. Otis Duncan of the N. C. For
est Service, is acting camp comman
der during the absence of Maj. Kline.
Mr. Greer, of Boone, is expecting
a call to the Tennessee River Pro
ject within the next few days. He will
be common labor foreman.
Mr. Pinkney Rhodes and Columbus
Arrowood called on Millard Dickinson
Sunday evening.
Shirley Rhodes was a business vi
sitor at camp Saturday afternoon.
