a Royal portable typewriter, No.
A428-282, was stolen from olflce* of
the firm in the Professional Build
ing.
Although it was several days be
lore the theft was discovered, the
typewriter is believed to have been
stolen on or about July 28. Memba-s
of the office force failed to notice
that the typewriter was missing, as
it was not generally used.
Clark Davis, wanted in Rocky
Mount for a hit and run charge, was
arrested by Officer* Harry Morris
end H T. Hines in Goldsboro Mon
day for driving under the influen-e
of intoxicating liquor.
Davis was tried Tuesday in Coun
ty Court, found guilty and fined S53
and costs. His driver’s license wiu
revoked for twelve months.
Patrolman Lewis and Broadhurst
of Rocky Mount came to Goldsboro
Tuesday to take Davu bock to Rock/
Mount to face charges there.
