The ceremony took place at the Shelby Circuit parsonage, with the bride’s pastor, Rev. .J. N. Wise, offi ciating. Only a f«w close friends of the couple wei^ resent. The bride wore a becoming cos tume of navy blue with harmonizing accessories. She is a daughter of the iate Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Harmon and a granddaughter of the late Alex Harmon and wife, Mrs- Rachel Harmon. She is an attractive and charming young woman. Air. Sherer is a son of Mr. and Mrs. T. Girard Sherer of Erwin, henn. For a number of years he| has made his home with his grand father, Mr. J. C. Baumgardner, in Kings Mountain where he holds a position. Cooper had charge of an inspiring and helpful program on "Religion In Art-" A’ group of child ren in vestments under the direc tion of Miss Virginia Parsons two sacred song — Beautiful Savior — arid, Ancient of Days. Mrs. Aubrey Mauney gave a most comprehensive talk on Music with particular em phasis on the songs of the Old and New Testament after which the children sang: Hallelujah, and A way In a Manger. Mrs. W. M- Boyce discussed most ably, Architecture and Paintings, dealing mainly with such religious pictures as Madonno Of The Chair, Sistine Madonna and l ast Supper.
