Members of the Kings Mountain '
J Junior Chamber of Commerce, in eooperation
with Kings Mountain Boy
Scouts, will conduct a city-wide scrap '
paper collection next Wednesday afternoon,

regular monthly collections, it was an

Announcement of the collection fol

night when details of the collection c
were arranged. 1
Scrap paper collection has been a c
Boy Scout project for the past several
years and the Jaycees are joining 1
with the Scouts in an effort to in- 1
crease greatly the amount of waste t

Waste paper continues to be a high 1
ly needed commodity. It is reprocess- *
ed and nsed in many types ol paper j
end paper product manufacture. j
a Use of waste paper channels new:
^ paper into sources where if is moat
required.
At the present time, wrapping pay
per, paper begs and newsprint are
I- \ ery scarce, and other types of paper
1 stocks are virtually unobtainable.
Proceeds from the sale of the paper
will be divided between the Boy
Scouts and Junior Chamber of Commerce,
with the lattar, group to use
the funds for eivie purposes.
The set-up for next Wednesday's
collection calls for a pro-collection
door-to-door campaign by the Scouts ?
asking citizens to save their paper
