John P. Thomas Rites Conducted John Parsley Thomas, 01, a native of Cherokee county, 8. C.t died suddenly in a hospital ia Columbia, November 1. The funeral was held in ( Beaverdam Baptist church near Gaffaey, 8. C., Sunday afternoon at S o 'clock. He was a member of Macedonia Baptist church at Gaffney. Mr. Thorn as eras a former resident of Charlotte, hav'ig lived'there for five years | but spent most df his life in Kings Mountain. Interment was in the church cemetery. He is survived by his widow, two cfXhghters, Mrs. H. C. Mitchell and Mrs. HartfflT Nima of Asheville, and two brothers, J. J. Thomas of Gaffney and W. J. Thomas of Arizona.
