Ware was hostess last Thursday evening at a charming j,, dinner party given at her home on Qaston street. The dining room was beautiful by candlelight which fell on artistic arrangements of red carnations, white snapdragons and nandinas. The red i nnd white color note was carried out in the iTvtng room with flowers and candles. After a delightful three course dinner. the guests played bride. Score prircs were awarded to Mrs. P. D. Herndon and Mrs. tirady Patterson. Following the bridge game, Mrs. Ware invited the guests to an old whi<-h each drew a gift. Those present for the nffnir were Mesdames O. W. Myers, W. K. Maun- i ev. .1. B. Keeter. Charles Thomasson, I Br., P. D. Herndon, Oradv Pntte>aon, B. B. Neill. and N. F. MeGill. I Miss Rebecca Dodd of Shelby *to will be married to John ftobert MeClure of CharWtte~Sn Dee. 14, was feted last Thursday Evening at a charming party given here by her aunt, !5Vs A. W. Kincaid, and faier cousin, Mrs. R. H. Beason. The Ribald home, where the party waa held, was festively decorated for the oecasion with the Christmas motif being observed. 8everal games of Bingo were played with prizes for each winner and Mrs. J. K. Willis and Miss Neil Jenkins were winners of a contest. After the games, Miss Dodd received a shower of chinaware in her chosen pattern. The hostesses served an attractive and tasty lalad course.
