McGill entertained in their honor at a Charming reception at the Country Club, which was one of the outstanding social affairs of the season. The club whs especially pretty for j< the delightful occasion, with beauti ful flora! arrangements used throu- 1 ghout the downstairs rooms. A color ' note of gre.cn and White was predom- M inant in the main dining room, be- ' vihg achieved with white gladioli;< and chrysanthemums interspersed with lacy green foliage. In the pri- < vate dining room, a red and white 1 color scheme prevailed, brilliantly 1 carried out with a table arrangement of red gladioli and white chry-1 santhemurns and augmented with , burning red tapers. h As guests arrived, they were greet- ' ed at the entrance by Mr. and Mrs. 1 M. Country Club Scene Of Gay Bridge Party The Kings Mountain Country clyb | was the scene of a gay party last Friday night when Mr. and Mrs. Har ry Page and Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Fulkerson entertained at seventeen tables of bridge. Flowering begonias and trailing ivy provided a pretty decorative note in the main dining room where the ( party was held. When scores were tallied, prizes were awarded Mrs. Jacob Cooper,! Mrs. Coman Falls, L. E. Abbott and : Jay Patterson. At the conclusion of play a delight ful frozen dessert course with pleas- ; ing accessories was served. Two Are Hostesses At Dessert Bridge . J Mrs. W. J.
