The following were elected tc serve as members df the Milestones staff: Jack Ruth, business manager Peggy Jackson, circulation manager, and Bobby Kimmel, photogra phic editor. Work has not yet been started or -'he annual. ' SH Demaulh Blanton was elected president of the Senior Class, at a class meeting on Oct. 8. Jack Ruth was elected vice president. Huntei WarUck, secretary, and Bobby Kim mel, treasurer. The Kings Mountain high schoo library is receiving 43 magazines o which six are read more than th< others by the majority of students Newsweek, Time, Open Road fo Boys, Saturday Evening Post, Coot Housekeeping, Belter Homes ant -Gardens, and Life are the most pop uiar -Magazines. Among these ari also School Activities and Unitec Nations World. The boys like newj and adventure; while the girls enjoj the love books and some news. I he students may get runner rea< iug material from the four newspa pers: Kings Mountain Herald, Shel by Daily Star, Charlotte Observer and Now York Times. The Monogram club of King Mountain high school met in th< high school auditorium Wednesday Oct. 6, to elect new officers for thi 194# school year. The following offi oers were elected: Jack Matthews president; Jack Camp, vice presiden Billy (Jene Amos, secretary; Rlchan White, treasurer; and Jack Landlord student council representative. The club met again Oct. 13, to dis cuss plans lor lite annual homecpm ing football game. The Monogram club has only 2 members at the present, but the; hope to increase their membershi] at the end of rhe'football season. Rally that will be held , in Hendersonville Oct. 23, were dis. cussed by approximately 150 stu. dents who attended the first meeting of the Kings Mountain Home , Economics club last Wednesday.
