church for Alonzo Carson who was
found dead in bed last Wednesday
morning at his home on Tracy street.
Rev. J. W. Gamble pastor of St.
Paul church of which Mr. Carson
was a member, officiated, and bur
ial was in Kings Mbuntain ceme
tery. He was the son of the late Mr.
and Mrs. John Carson. He had made
his home with his sister for several
years, Mrs. Clarence Williams. He
is survived by a brother, John M.
, Carson and three sisters, Mrs. Jack
Wellman of Bessemer City, Mrs. Clar
ence Williams of Kings Mountain,
and Mrs. Vennie Carson of St. Paul,
Mo.
The Singing Convention will be
held Sunday January 16 at Mount
Olive Baptist church, C. C. Miller,
