Fellowship Hall First Presbyterian Church Kings Mountain, North Carolina, j Invitations have been received this week and all parents, troop commi tee members, leaders and ail inter ested in Girl Scouting in Kings Mountain are urged to attend the in- i vestiture services of the Kings Moun ! tain Town Council at 8 p. m. Friday | February 14. at the First resbyterian ' church. This will be a very unique service and will mark the beginning of an over all board in promoting all phases of Girl Scouting, for girls in Kings Mountain and Grover. At present there are 7 white troops and 2 colored troops of Girl Scouts in Kings Mountain with capable leaders directing the activities of the troops and with the investiture of this Town Council all phases of Scouring and all that the national body has to offer will be brought more directly to the girls. High Cagers Take Two From Ironmen Kings Mountain high school has { ketball teams swept a western con ference doubleheader from teams of Cherryville high school here in Cen tral gymnasium Tuesday night, the girls winning 41 to 16 and the bovs, 47 to 19. Coach Mabel Carpenter's girls teanj looked highly impressive in racking up Its first loop win in two starts. Led by Center >1 a ry Lou Barnettej the lassies romped away from the visitors and held a 22 to 6 lead at the half-way mark.
