Go forth was very festive Thursday night with arrangements of chry santhemums when she entertained members of the La -Fate rook club and guests to make up five tables. After a pleasant evening of -rook, high seolre award was pre sented Mrs. Bessie Gantt for club members and Mrs, A. H. Patterson received visitor's high. Mrs. H. R. Parton and Mrs. Y, F. Thronebw/g also received awards. This being the birthday of one of the members Mrs. B. F. Beam, she was remembered with a gift from the club. The hostess presented Mrs. C. F. Thomasson a birthday gift and gave Mrs. Paul Beam, a recent bride a piece of crystal in ner chosen pat tern. Abbott Monday afternoon when she entertained the Duplicate club and one invited guest, Mrs. Amos Dean. Guests found their places and four progressions of bridge ensued with Mrs. George Houser and Mrs. D. M. Peeler winning high for the after noon. McGlll was party hos tess Friday night entertaining mem ibers of the Twin-Table bridge club and two invited guests, Miss Leone Patterson and Mrs. W. L. Mauney. Tables were attractively appoint ed for refreshments when guests came to the party. Each was center ed with a miniature nosegay of dainty flowers. The hostess with the assistance of Mrs, I. B. Goforth ser ved a chicken salad course with cof fee. A sweet course was passed. Following the course, the tables were rearranged for bridge which left game awards with Miss Leone Patterson, visitor high, Mrs. 1 B. Goforth, club highland Mrs, O. W. Myers. The living and dining rooms were decorated with mixed flowers in un usual arrangements. Miss Marion Arthur Bridge Hostess Delightful in all appointments was the bridge party given Thurs day night by Miss Marlon Arthur at her home on West King Street Amid floral arrangements of snap dragons and chrysanthemums six tables were placed for bridge and set for refreshments upon the arrival of guests.
