Candalabras holding ca thedral tapers completed the dec orative effect. The bride's marriage costume consisted of a blege suk worn with navy accessories. Her cor sage was of. red rosebuds. Mrs. Dellinger is the only dau ghter of Mr. and Mrs. Shipp Palls. She Is now employed by Belk's Department Store! ' The bridegroom Is the son of Mr. and Mrs. R. F. Dellinger of Gastonla. Mr. Dellinger Ls - con nected with Reserve Life Insur ance and Lincoln National Life Insurance Companies. Mr. and Mrs. Dellinger left im mediately after the ceremony for a honeymoon in Charleston. They are making their home at the present with the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Falls. Only members of the two lm 1 mediate families attended the i ceremony. MYF Sub-District , Meets In Dallas? The pastor of Concord 'Methodist church gave an Inter esting address on race relations, in which he said that the reason we do not love other people is 'that we do not understand them. ; The way to love them, he added, la to understand them. Special music was rendered by a trio, composed of Betty Falls, Betty Cash, and Kill Allen, who were accompani ed by Barbara Gault at the pi ano. The selectldn, a Latvian fork song, "My God and 1" was especially beautiful. One verse Is] reprinted below. "My God and I go in the fields together. | We wslk and talk as good friends should do. Mauney, Jr., de lightfully entertained the Dupli cate bridge club and two invited guests, Mrs. H. R. Nelsler and Mrs. W. K. Mauney. Pictureque arrangements of peach blossoms and spring I rw ers were used to create a beauti ful decorative effeot in the living room where tables were placed for bridge. After presentation of the prizes to Mrs. Howard Jackson and Mrs. Paul .Nelsler, the hostess served a very tasty salad course with daln ty party accessories. Mrs. Goforth Hostess To Tally-Ho Club Mrs. L B. Goforth, Jr., delight fully enteralned the Tally-Ho members at her home Thursday night. Large bowls of loveli spring flowers were placed at vantage points In the living room whore tables were placed for bridge. After five progressions of bridge, tallies were added and compared. High Score for the games was pre sented Miss Pat Ballatd. The hostess was assisted in serving a tasty party plate with an iced fruit drink. Mrs. H. ?. EL Abbott winning seoond high. Those playing other than mem bers were Mrs. Abbott, Mrs. Thomasson, Mrs. H. C. Mayes, Mrs. C. P. Thomasson, Sr. The hostess served a congealed salad course, cheese biscuits, o pen-faced sandwiches with tea or coffee. Icebox oake was served tor dessert. Hi-Lo Club Met With J. C. Bridges Entertaining at their home on Landing street Friday night Mr. and Mr*. J. C. Bridges were hosts to the Hi-Lo bridge club and two invfted guests, Mr. and Mm L. E. Abbott Spring flowers in tones of yel low were u*Cd in {hf home. Four progressions of bridge was {4*yt ed with high score prize for la dies going to Mrs. 3am Stalling*, high score for gentlemen to L. E. Abbott Peach short cake, nut* and oof fee was served with the color note of yellow being carried out in the table appointment**. Bid and Bye Club Met With L. E. Abbotts Mr. and Mrs. L. E. Abbott en tertained Saturday night, their guests being members of the Bid and Bye Club and one invited couple Mr. and Mrs. Paul Neisler. Spring flowers in attractive ar rangements were used through out the home. Tables were ap pointed *nd UjJHMt arrival of all guests a sweet course was served.
