Chief Steward Fred Tate . was on hand to welcome all passeng ers and to assist them aboard. Once inside the "Mountaineer," the passengers were escorted to their places by stewards arid stewardesses Donald Flowers, Bobby Goforth, Charles Fainter, ' Dickey Webb, Barbara Gault, i Phyllis Ware, Anne Mayes, Jean Owens, and Faylene Falls. The banquet tables, set ior one hundred fifty-five, were attrac tively decorated with miniature planes- Place cards,- individual salt, and pepper shakers, individ ual packages of sugar, and a block and gold memo indicated each place setting. After the Invocation by Mr. B. N. Barnes, toastmastcr, Billy Shy tie welcomed the guests aboard, i The response was given by Cut tis Wright. Toasts to the faculty, board members and stewards and stewardesses were given by John Warldck, Valine Baity, and Ray mond Goforth. Responses were made by Mr. Rowell Lane and Mrs. Haywood E. Lynch. A male quartett composed of Bobby Mar tin, Walter Griffin, Jake Hord and Clifton Morgan sang "Come, Jose phine, In my Plying Machine." As a conclusion,' both passengers and ' crew Joined in singing "Off We 1 Go." The Junior-Senior banquet was under the direction of Miss Janet Scoggins and Miss Helen Logan. Senior MYF To Have Weiner Roast The Senior MYF of Central Me i thodlst church is having a weiner 1 j roast Monday evening, May 15, at 6 o'clock, and will meet at the church to go from there to the country. On the food committee are Dotty Smith, Bobbie Granth am, Walter Griffin, and Bob Go forth. Walter and Bob are also on the recreation committee to plan games. In charge of campfire building will be Randy William son and Phillip Dye. On the trans portatlon committee are Bobbie Grantham, Walter Griffin, Don Bumgardner, Betty and Jean Cash Don Patterson, and others. In case of rain, the young people will meet in the church basement. Murray Rook Club Hostess The honie of Mrs. B. A. Murray was in festive mood with sweet peas and snapdragons Tuesday night when she was hostess to the La Fete rookdu-D. Tables were laid and a tempting dinner plate was served prior to the games. The three tables were rearran ed and an evening of rook was en }oyed with high 'score award go ing to Mrs. E. T, Plott.
