EASY TERMS ? YWA Girls Study Missions In Africa Monday night, July 17, the YWA girls of the First Baptist church met at tne church for their regular semi-monthly meet ing. Miss Joyc^ Foster, president, presided. During the business session, the Community Miss ions for the month of July was discussed and the girls contribu ted to tha fund, sponsored by the WMU, to be used for the ed ucation of a local Negro girl. Mrs. Zelene Jackson had char ge of the devotional period, her subject being "The Hope of Gio- 1 ry," clearly bringing out the point of the importance of Christ in the individual. | Miss Betty Hayes gave a very interesting program on Mis sions in Africa, telling the ex- 1 perience of a missionary couple ! who went to Africa on their hon eymoon and have spent 20 years of servtce on the Dark Continent, | telling the natives of Christ as the individual's hope of glory. In September he will continue his studies at Co lumbia Theological Seminary in Decatur, Georgia, where the cou ple will reside. Arthur entertained ?with a series of bridge parties at her home on West King street Thursday night and Friday aft ernoon. The home was artistical ly decorated for the occasion with a variety of mixed summer flow ers. outstanding In the living .room were red roses and deep red glads. In the library the floral appointments were emphasized very beautifully In bowls of as sorted flowers, the airy arrange ments on the dining table and mantle, created a lovely setting for the seven tables set up for bridge. Margrace Women In July-Meeting Mrs. Clannie Jones, Mrs. Clif ford Ktreus and Mrs. C. W. Falls were hostesses at the July meet ing of rhe Margrace Woman's club. Spring flowers in pastel shades were used to, decorate the club lounge. Mrs. ' Palls, president, presided over the meeting. Mrs. Grady Rhea led in prayer. The hostesses served delicious home-made ice cream and cake during the social hour. The club will sell hot dogs, coffee and cold drinks at the club house Friday from 4 until ? 10 o'clock.
