The Twin Table club met at the home of Mrs. Hilliard Hunter Friday night, Sept. 15. Ten mem bers were present. The home was beautifully arranged with sum mer flowers. A four course din ner was enjoyed 'by all. After dinner games were played. Surprise Birthday Party A surprise birthday party was given at the home of Mr. and Mrs. William Orr, honoring Mr. Orr on his birthday. Fourteen were present. The home was beautifull arranged w<th summer flowers. Serving as hostesses were Mrs Thomas Daniels of New York City, Mrs. Evelyn Byers and Mrs. Paul Jackson. A three course dinner was served. Many gifts were received. Davidson High School News The members of ;he Davidson high school family have gotten', off to an excellent beginning of j another successful school year. | We are very happy to have each j member of our faculty back with us for this school year. Every one has started working hard to make this school year one of the most successful of the Davidson school year*. . . We are very happy to find that the enrollment for this school year is a bit higher than that of the last school year. In addition to pupils who have entered since the first day of school, other new- j comers are expected to enroll j wjvn. We will be very grateful to j our parents if they will help to keep their children in school each day and urge that they take ad vantage of the hot lunch that is served in the school cafeteria each day. There are many more pupils eating this year, than last "year, bur W? waW pupils to eat daily. Mr. Gibson and members of the faculty plan to work hand-in hand with the parents so that we might make our Parent -Teachers .Association one of the best in the stateTWe-hope to work together and make much progress this school year.
