Harrill, 4-H leader lor the State College Extension Service, reported this week that 3,070 Tar Heel 4-H Club members spent a week at one of the four club canpps in the State during the past summer. An addditional 531 club agents and adult leaders attended the camps, bringing the total to 3- ? 607, Harrill said. Millstone Camp, located in Richmond County, led in total! attendance, with 1,055 boys and girls, 59 leaders, and 74 agents spending a week there. In addi* tion, 48 attended the Young Men and Women's Conference, 79 were present for the State Wild life Conference, and 81 attended other special encampments ,at Millstone, bringing Its total for the season to 1.3S6. Encampments at Mamco were attended by 961 boys. and girls, 60 agents, and 52 leaders, bring ing the camp total to 1.073. The Swannanoa camp was attended by 349 boys and girls and 20 a gents and leaders. Camp Schaub, operating this season ? for the first time, was attended by 711 boys and girls and 58 agents and leaders.
