Central rB" Grammar All Star Gridders Play Friday At 7:30 %/ J With the Mountaineers, the var sity team, taking the week off with an open date, football inter est here this week centered on the return battle Friday night be tween the Kings Mountain high school "B" team and the Gram mar Grade All Stars. Kickoff time is 7:30 p. m. at City Stadium. The "B" squad, coached by Jack Sink, eked out a 7-0 win on October 26th, in the first meeting of the two teams. The Friday game is scheduled to mark the closing of the gram - j fttar program for the season. The program was begun last year. by the Mountaineer Club, Inc., local sports boosters club, and majori ty of the members of the Central "B" team played in the program during the first year. Members of the 1950 All Stars were selected by the coaches of the four grammar teams and re presents the "cteam of the crop" this year. Coaches for the All Stars are Bill Harmon t Central team coach during the season, and Walter Harmon and David Neill, of the West school team. Coach Sink can throw a, for ward wall at the All Stars that averages 140 pounds from flank to flank and a set of starting backs that tip the scales at 134 pounds each. Team' average of 137 compares to an average of 126 for the Stars ? 120 on the line and 132 in the backfield. Admission for the game Is 10, 25 and 50 cents and a large crowd is expected.
