Mrs. John B. Plonk entertained
the Queen of Clubs /Tuesday
night at the home of her mother,
Mrs. C. T. Carpenter.
Tables were arranged In the
living room before an open fire
which cast a merry glow over the
room. Guests found their places
at the tables which were appoin
ted for refreshments. Ambrosia
and fruit cake was served. Nuts
were passed later in the evening.
Tallies were compared after
the third progression bridge win
ners were Mrs. Jimmle Spivey
and Mrs. B. F. Brymer. .

Baptist Church Tuesday night
November 21, at the home of
Frances Sisk.
Contests and games featured
the evenings entertainment, later
the birthday cake was cut and
served with cokes.

the home of Mrs. J. A. Rolston
with Mrs. Clyde, Jolly and Mrs.
G. C. Whlsnant as co-hostesses.
The meeting was opened with
prayer by Mrs. J. B. Falls, re
membering sick members of the
congregation. One verse of
"Work For the Night is Coming"
Was sung by the group.
Miss Mabel Logan presided
over the buisi/tess, Mrs. J. B. Falls
gave a report on the basket that
was sent a needy family for
Thanksgiving. It was voted to
give a silver spoon to each baby
instead Of silver dollars. Mrs.
