June Cloninger became the bride of Wayne (Lefty) Haynes. son of Mr. and Mrs. Sam Haynes of Spindale. Rev. Robert L, Hardin, pastor of the bride performed the cere mony. Mrs. James E. Black rendered a program of nuptial music. Be fore the ceremony Mrs. Black played, "Indian Love Call," "Be cause" and "0 Promise Me". Lie*" < bestraum" was softly played dur ing the ceremony. The traditional wedding marches were used. Ushers were Bobby Cloninger, (brother of the bride, and Hugh Dover of Shelby, brother-in-law of the groom. The bride wore an aqua ma rine wool, jersey dress, white fur hat with other accessories in black. She carried a white pray er book topped with white split carnations and showered with white satin streamers. Mrs. Haynes is a graduate of the local high school and is em ployed in the designing depart ment of the Neisler Mills. The bridegroom attended school at Cliffside. He has been a metriber of various baseball clubs, in the Western Carolina League for the past several years. At present he is working ' In Marion. Double Deck Club Christmas Party Members of the Double Deck Bridge Club held their Christmas party and Rift exchanged on Tuesday night with Mrs. John Rudisell at her home in Cresent Hill. Living and dining rooms were bright with lavish Christmas ar rangements, and a lighted Christmas tree was a reminder, Christmas is just around the corner. Table* were appointed for re fresh men ta. each table held a miniature Christmas tree, fruit cake topped with whipped cream wa j served with coffee. Club Members Meet With Mrs. Ramseur . t All members were present this week when Mrs. W. L. Ramseur entertained the Tuesday night bridge club. Greenery combined with nan dijia berries and gay Christmas balls for color accent decorated the party rooms. *One unusual ar rangement was the little church made of block sugar. Prizes were won by Mrs. Harry Page and Mrs. Hugh Ormond for high and low respectively. A salad course with party goodies was served with spiced tea and decorated homemade cookies.
