STILL Mayoi Wildlife Body School To Train Game ProteetOis ? * i The North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission and the North Carolina Institute of Gov ernment will conduct a training school for prospective wildlife protectors in Jur^e, Clyde P. Port ton, executive director of the Commission, announced today. Men between the ages of 21 and 45 are interested in becom ing wildlife protectors may apply for the training school on regu lar State employment application forma available at State employ ment offices or from the Wildlife Resources Commission, Raleigh. Application^ must be completed ! and on file in the Commission's Raleigh office by June 10. Applicants for positions will be given a competitive examination later In June, and successful ap plicants will be given a thorough training course at the North Ca rolina University Institute of Government training school In Chapel Hill. Room and board will be provided and a small salary will be paid trainees during the course. Candidates completing the training courae successfully will -be Installed as Wildlife pro tectors Immediately or held in reserve until vacancies occur. Starting, salary for wildlife pro tectors wlil be *2. 580.00 plus ex pense allowances. HEHALD PUBLISHING The pupils of Mrs. Nevette Hughes of Park-Grace school went on an educational tour of three of Gastonla's business plants. They visited WLTC, the Coca Cola plant, and the Holsum Ba kery. The personnel of each place visited went all out to make their visit profftable and enjoy able.. The whole group and especial ly the boys got a thrill when a motorcycle cop drove up to thelc truck and said, "Follow me. I'M take you right through."
