Kings Mountain will probably take the field this season with 9 1950 players on the roster. Ollle Hards, Jr., 1950 second baseman suffered a broken arm on the first play of the first practice game this year and will not get to play this season. Regulars-back from the Buddy Lewls-Bfadshaw nine last year are Don (Chubb) Cobb, catcher, Bob Wells and Southpaw Fred Kiser, pitchers, Ken Spencer, out fielder-catcher, and Jim Kim mell, shortstop. Other 1950 returnees are South paw Darvin (Dick) Moss and Charles Painter, Pitchers, Harold Matthews, infielder, and Bob Huskey, outfielder. Promising candidates are Gra dy Hoyle, lb, Carl Bell, 2b, De witt (Dee) Guyton, 3b; Jimmy Schofield, Bob Thomas, Charlie Mullinax, Harold Payne and Ri chard Bates, outfielders; Ray Mauney, Dean Huskey, Jimmy Matthews and Dean Spears, in fielders; Ronnie Layton, catcher; and Southpaw Dealis Burtln, Bill Rhea and Billy Wells, pitcners. The Bradshaw men also droroed a two-game series last week to Gaffney, S. ic., juniors. On last Friday at City Stadium, Southpaw Kiser whiffed 16 batters but suffered from Six-error suport to lose 5 to 4. On May 24 at Gaffney, the South Carolinians won by 16 to 4.
