C. Master Point Bridge Winners At the Master point bridge game held in the country club Thursday night Mr. and Mrs. Sajn Davis held high score for North and South. East and West high were R. Groves and B. C. Morrow. Mrs. Paul Neisler and Charles Blanton were second high in North and South, Mrs. Holmes and Mrs. Todd were third and Measers Park and Rawlings were fourth. Bobbie Wentz Honored On Birthday Bobbie Wentz of Danville, Va., daughter of Mrs. James Wentz and the late Mr. Wentz, celebrat ed her . third birthday Monday afternoon at a party given by Miss Janet Falls. Bobbie was dressed in a pretty pink party frock and wore a corsage of tin ted pon pon chrysanthemums and baby breath. She was the re cipient of a variety of gifts. When the guests arrived they were presented with balloons, whistles and colorful paper hats. Mrs. Coman Falls and Mrs. Jay Patterson directed a number of games an dsongs. Nancy Craig entertained the group with bal let and singing. Several others in turn sang and danced. Color pictures were taken of Mr. Charlie Ramsey, of Wash ington, D. Hie Rev. Donald Craw ford, pastor of the church, heard the couple pledge the vows of the single ring service. A program of wedding music was rendered by the organist of the church. The bride, a pretty fair-skinned brunette, was lovely In a sum mer suit of golden beige sacony fashioned with high collar and slim skirt. With it she wore a dark brown felt hat trimmed with matching velvet and flirt veil, other accessories in dark brown, and bronze baby orchids pinned at her shoulder. Mrs. Jackson, daughter of Mrs. Gertrude Herndon Woodward of Shelby and Joe Lee Woodward of Kings Mountain, is an attractive and popular girl. She attended Shelby high school and was gra duated from the high school de partment of Wlngate Junior col lege. She has completed most of the work of her junior year at Meredith college, and plans to finish work toward her degree at the University of Pennsylvan ia next year. Mr; Jackson, son of Mr. and Mrs. James H. Jackson of Lum berton, was graduated from the high school there and attended North Carolina State college, Raleigh, before serving In the U. S. Navy during World War II. He was graduated In electrical engineering from the Citadel in June this year and is now em ployed In electronics research with Philco Corporation in Phila delphia. Mr. and Mrs. Jackson will spend their honeymoon at Atlan tic, City, N. J., after which they will be at home at 1936 North 32nd street in Philadelphia. For the best one act play in 1949, the best short story In 1950 and 1951. She is a member of the North Carolina Society, Charlotte's Writers Club, Caroli na Dramatic Association, has won awards for play writing and production at Chapel Hill." She has had poetry published in the Good Housekeeping and other magazines ahd in New York papers. Several of her plays have been produced >by the Lit tle Theatre in Gastonia. IVfrs. Summerrow delighted the club by reading one of her one act plays, "Whip Hand." During the social period the hostess was assisted in serving a salad and sweet course. Junior Woman's Club Plan Cake Sale The Junior Roman's Club held their regular meeting on Mon day evening at the home of Mrs. Craig Falls with Mrs. J. B. Falls as Joint hostess. Miss Diana Gamble conducted the devotionals. Mrs. J. B. Falls was in charge of the program? entitled "What's My Line." During the business session plans were made to have a cake sale on the coming Saturday.
