H H' If I III Mrs. Tolly Shuford Duplicate Hostess Mrs. Tolly Shuford entertain ed members of the Duplicate bridge club at her home Monday afternoon. Chrysanthemums, ro ses, marigolds ahd autumn leav es were used in decorating the home. After several progressions of bridge, scores were added. Mrs. J. M. Cooper was high scorer. Mrs. Paul Hendricks and Mrs. Drace Peeler tied for second high. When cards were laid aside Mrs. Shuford served a party sal ad plate with brownies and cof fee. In the party group, other than Lynch and Mrs. Amos Dean. W. B. Logan Given Birthday Dinner > Mrs. Edna Gallmnn entertained with a family dinner Sunday honoring W. B. Logan on his birthday anniversary. Others pre sent beside Mr. and Mrs. Logan were Mrs. John Logan, his mo The S. R. Suber Jr.'s Bridge Club Hosts Chrysanthemums and other harmonizing blossoms were used as room decorations on Thursday night by Mrs. S. R. Suber, Jr. when her guests were members of the Couples club and two ad ditional couples, Mr. and Mrs. Art Weiner, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Plonk. Tables were appointed for re freshments and a desert cdurse served prior to the bridge games., Iced colas were served during the progressoons. .. Mrs. Draee Peeler and Fred Plonk were the most successful players and were awarded the prizes. Ace Of Clubs Met In Plonk Home Mrs. Fred Plonk delightfully entertained members of the Ace of Clubs at her home Thursday afternoon. The party rooms were gay with dahlias, chrysanthe mums and roses. Mrs. L. E. Abbott won the high score prize and Mrs. Ho ward Jackson second high. KAY BRIDGES Kay Bridges Feted On Fifth Birthday Kay Bridges, small daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Archie Bridges, celebrated her fifth birthday Wednesday, October 24 with a party given by. her mother at the Jack and Jill Kindergarten. The children participated in games and songs after which sto ries were told by Mrs. Coman Falls. The birthday cake, a creation of ? ping and white, was served with ice cream and iced orange juice. Hallowe'en decorations were used throughout the rooms. Kay was the recipient of many gifts. Those enjoying the party were: Martha Howard, Annie Randall, Alec Neisler, Joan How ard, Patricia Strickland Chip Mc Ginnis, Mike Ballard. Christelia Dixon, Becky Coyle, Candy Kez ziah, Michael Goforth, Mickie Warren. Johnny Caveny, Mary Aileen Wright, Lyn Cheshire, Kenny Steffy, Sarah Frances Mauney, Lynda Mauney and Law rence Mauney. F a v o r i + e "recipes "NEVER FAIL EGG CU STAR if Mrs. Horace Kiser 1 cup milk 3 tablespoons melted buter % cup sugar 1 tablespoon flour 1-8 teaspoon salt 2 egg yolks 2 egg whites 2 or 3 drops flavoring Melt butter, add sugar, flavor ing* flour, salt, milk, egg yolks. Mrs. Ware Hostess To Her P.idoe Club Mrs. M. A. Ware was hostess! Thursday night, entertaining members of the Twin-Table brid ge club and a few other friends at a delightful four table party. The home was festively arranged with bright fall flowers and au tumn leaves. One large arrange ment of yellow dahlias and kind red flowers in the living r?om : excited admiring comment. After two progressions a salad ; course with chrysanthemum tea was served and a sweet course passed. After the fourth progression when players added and compar jed scores, playing prizes went to :Mrs. O. W. Myers who scored highest among members, and Mrs. H. C. Mayes who held se cond high among members, Mrs. Mrs. Carl Mauney scored highest among visitors arid Mrs. Joe Neisler held second high among visitors.
