Hemdon, Editor ; 0i>ctet*j ? .J Mrs. Vera Cash Gives Announcement Party Mrs. Vera Cash entertained with a lovely party at her home Thurs day night at which time she an nounced the engagement of her sister, Miss Nina Louise to Yates Webb Jones of Lanett, Ala. The wedding will take place in De cember. Miss Lula Mae Teague, bride-elect of December shared honors. The home was artistically ar ranged with White and yellow chrysanthemums. Each of the honorees were given a corsage. Four tables were place<! for hearts^ at the count of scores, Mrs. Eugene Roberts was high. The traditional wedding col ors of green and white were car ried out in the refreshments which consisted of ice cream molded as bridal slipers and in dividual cakes which was served with coffee. Those present for the lovely party besides the honorees were Mrs. Harold Crawford, Mrs. Jake Hord, Mrs. Clyde Jolley, Mrs. Dickie Tate, Mrs. DeW}tt Randall, Mrs. Jack Clark, Mrs, Paul Cole, Mrs. Otis Falls, Mrs. James Cole, Mrs. Andrew Jack son, Mfs. Eugene Roberts, Mis ses Mary McGiU> Annie Roberts and Viola White. Out-of-town guests were Mrs. John Head of Cramerton and Miss Sara Alexander of Hender sonville. ' Monroe Lovelace pictured above celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Sunday, November 18th. Their children entertained with a recep tion at the home of a daughter, Mrs. F. C. Ware. Mrs. Lovelace was Miss Martha Bell before her marriage. She and Mr. Lovelace were married by the late Rev. J. C. Goforth at her home Tuesday night A variety of chrysanthemums were used as room decorations and the party was planned as a special courtesy to Mrs. Bun Go forth who was celebrating her birthday anniversary. Several interesting progres sions were played with Mrs. H. R. Part on winning high score for club members and Mrs. C. A. Go forth winning high for guests. Mrs Bun Goforth was second high for members and was also remembered with a birthday gift from the club. A salad course was. served with Russian tea and a sweet course of Thanksgiving cake was passed. Mrs. Padgett Entertains Fortnighters Club Mrs. Phillip Padgett entertain, ed members of the Fortnighters club Friday afternoon in her home on Piedmont avenue. Quan titles of potted plants and green ery were used in decorating the formal rooms, where two tables were arranged for the session of bridge. During the progressions, cokes were served, and when scores were added, Mrs. Bruce Thorhurn was high scorer. When cards were laid aside covers were laid and Mrs. Pad gett was assisted in serving a de licious sliced sandwich and cake with coffe. Miss Nina Cole's Engagement Announced Mr. Joe Cole announces the engagement of his daughter, Miss Nina Louise to Yates Webb Jones, of Lanett, Ala., son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Hampton Jones of Bostic, N.
