Christmas Program Given At Study Club The December meeting of the Study Glub was held Tuesday af* 'tWfrioori with Mrs. Paul Mauney at her home which was decorated in keeping with the Yuletide sea son. - . Mrs. H. C. Mayes was responsl bleforthe program for the after noon which featured Christmas Music. Mrs. E. M. Leopard ac ; COmpanted by Mrs. Aubrey Mau ney delighted the club with sever al selections. The group Joined in singing Christmas carols. Mrs. Mayes read, "Fear Not For Behold I Bring You Good Tidings Qf Great Joy", Mrs. W. T. Weir, president, pre sided during the business session. Resolutions of respect for the late Mrs. Charles Campbell, a member of the club were read. Mrs. Mauney assisted by her daughter, Mrs. Show served a tempting party plate with coffee. . Small candles in candy holders added a color note to the plate. Mrs. Leopard, Mrs. E. B. Eller bee, Mrs. W. W. Tolleson, and Mrs. P. D. Patrick were invited guests of the hostess. Mrs. Harmon Hostess To Her Bridge Club Members of the Contract Club enjoyed a delightful meeting Tuesday afternoon with Mrs. Martin Harmon. Red poinsettlas added a cherry note to the party room. Bridge was played In progres sions with Mrs. Howard Jackson being the most successful player and Mrs. Hal Pionk runner up for second high. Mrs. Jack White entertained with a dinner Saturday night In the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Davis. The dinner was planned In honor of her father, Edward Cllne of Fallston, who was cele brating his birthday anniversary. The Davis home was lavishly decorated in the Christmas mo tif. The seasonal motif was car ried out in the sumptuous dinner served the thirty guests who had assembled for the occasion. Kindergarten Class Give Program ' Mrs. Coman Falls presented pupils of her Jack and Jill Kin derten and dance classes in a Christmas program at West School Wednesday morning. The program opened with mu sic by the rythm band directed by Chip McGinnls. The class sang, Silent Night and repeated the Christmas Story in unison. Kenneth Steffy sang a solo, "Bethlehem Lulluby" Poems, "In the Stable" and "Away In a Man ger" were given by the class, this was followed by the class sing ing. "Little Boy Blue," Little Mon key" and "Six Little Ducks". Dances were given by Linda Hartsoe, Pete and Ernie Elkin. A skit, including Santa Claus, "What I Want for Christmas" was given by, Linda Mauney, Sara Frances Mauney, Chip Mc Ginn is, Patrlca Strickland, Ken ny Steffy, Mickey Warren, John ny Caveny, Carl Ramseur, Mich ael Goforth, Becky Coyle, Lyn Cheshire, Rita Bell, Candy Kez ziah, "Snookums" Wright, Chris ty Dixon, Martha and Joan Ho ward. Miss Virginia Plonlc Fetes House Guasts Miss Virginia Plonk paid a lovely compliment to her house guests Saturday afternoon by en tertaining with a small bridge party at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Rufus Plonk. The home was gaily decorated for the party with Christmas greenery, irredescent balls, bells and candles. One of the outstand ing arrangements was an orien tal arrangement of drift-wood and varlgated balls. Miss Barbara McClure, of Gas tonla, president at the group, pre sented the guest speaker lor the evening. The group sang Christmas ca rols and during the business ses sion, Rev. D. L. Stubbs made announcements. The W. S. C. S. served delicious refreshments consisting of hot Um, deviled egg and pimento cheese sandwiches, cookie* and potato chips.
