I. ? ? fl Cherryvllle high's Iroi\men threw a monkey wrench into Kings Mountain high's boys bas ketball team's WNCHSAA tour nament plans last Friday night in Cherryvllle, bumping the Moun taineers 53 to 45. Cherryvllle swept the Western AA twin bill, downing the local sextet 56 to 36 In the opener. The defeat was the fifth in loop starts. Coach Don Parker's five play for the Mountaineers in 11 now must win both remaining games (Newton-Conover .last Tuesday and Shelby here Friday) to stay In contention for one of the four, spots in the tourney set up. Bill Beach paced a fast Cherry ville attack in the Initial period with 11 points to put the winners ahead at the first turn 17-12 and a tightening up of the defenses in the second period netted a 28-19 lead at the half.
