Troop 1 of the First Presbyter

were 20 members and two visitors

Advancements were discussed
and a camping trip was planned
for the first Saturday after Eas
ter. The trip is sponsored by the
troop committee members and
I will be an overnight one to Pisgah
Forest.

first Western AA game of the
1952 season.
With a minimum of practice
sessions being held before the
opener because of field dlfflcul:
ties, the Mountaineers were
leaky afield and the pitchers were
wild, walking 11 men.

Mountaineers garnered 9 hits off
the offering of two able, experi

Cherryville opened the scoring
on a three-run homer by Sonny
Randall in the first inning but
back to push five runs across In
the Kings Mountain nine came
the second to take the lead.
Cherryville came back to score
five In the bottom of the second,
four In the third and seven in the |
fourth to wrap up teh contest,
which was limited to seven in
nings by agreement.
