Cash Is Freed In Arson Case L. D. Cash, Kings Mountain plumber, was found not guilty of anon, by a Cleveland County Superior Court Jury on March 26. The Jurors deliberated for an hour ^before bringing in the ac quittal verdict. Cash, originally- sentenced to serve from five to seven years in prison in Cleveland Superior court last year, appealed, and the North Carolina Supreme .Court found errors, declaring a mistrial. At the second trial last week, the defense successfully refuted testimony by W. H. Stames, self admitted dope addict, that he had set lire to the Cash home here at the instance of the owner. Mr. Gamfble stated that sponta neous combustion was probable cause Of the fire. He reported the building was badly smoked. Georgia Man In Accident Here Sgt. G. E. Edwards, of Marietta, Ga? was reported not seriously injured in an accident Wednes day morning. He was at Kings Mountain hos pital yesterday, where hospital officials reported his rendition as good. Sgt. Edwards was dodging a car on the curve at Macedonia Baptist church on Grover road when his car got In the ditch on the right side of the road. As he was trying to get out of the ditch, he lost control of the car and turned over several times, according to a report of Highway Patrolman W. D. Saw yer, investigating officer.
