To Be Inducted
The Cleveland county selective
service board will send 25 men to
Charlotte for induction into the
armed services on October 30.
Orders to report for induction
have already been Issued. Ano
ther Induction call is to be filled
4>y the Cleveland board on No
vember 6. when 20 men will be
sent to Charlotte for induction.
Quotas for pre- Induction ex
aminations during November to
tal 100 men, with the iboard to
send 50 men to Charlotte for pre

Garden Club Plant
Sale Plans Given
The Kings Mountain Garden
Club will sponsor a shrub " id
plant sale by McQueen's Nursery,
of Whiteville, on Thursday and
Friday, October 30 and 31.
A spokesman for the garden
club said the offerings would in
clude azaleas, camellias, roses,
evergreens, flowering trees and
other sfirubs and plants.
The Nursery will conduct the
sale at the corner of Cansler and
West Mountain streets. The club
spokesman said that the stock of
the Nursery has been state- in
spected.
