LETTER
TO THE EDITOR
Dear .Citiaen,
Today Is Thanksgiving. A day
on which to take out a minute
to say, THANK YOU, DEAR
LORD, for your blessings. -
We citizens of Kings -Mountain
should be especially thankful
for our blessings during the past
year. Thankful too that our rate
of "seriously 111" persons has
been low In comparison to a na
tional scale, though there are
many larger cities with a lower
rate. The 1X>RD must have in
deed shed his cloak of protec
tion about us to keep those dread .
ed POLIO and TYPHOID Germs
under control, because Kings
Mountain can 'boast of so many
excellent Germ breeding spots.
Something can and should be
done about improvement of san
itary conditions before another
summer. YoUr vote YES on Sat
urday, December 6 will mean the
vote of , confidence which must
come from you before improve

If you are in doubt about your
vote, then prove to yourself that
something should be done by
driving toward Gastonla on the
new highway with your glasses
down. Your nose will tell you
where the present outmoded city
disposal plant now overfolws
and will say, For Better Health,
Vote YES, Sewage Bond Issue,
Saturday, December 6. It Is your
privilege and duty as a citizen.
