Grantham Fetes One High Rook Club Members of the One High Rook Club and several additional guests met Tuesday night with Mrs. W. G. Grantham lor the November meeting. Roses and dried arrangements were used In the living room. On the dining room table was a horn of plenty with a. lovely arrange ment of yellow chrysanthemums and fruit. Tables were appointed for re freshments and when all assem bled the hostess assisted by Mrs. Wilson Crawford, served a froz en salad with hot ham biscuits, brown bread sandwiches stuffed dates and coffee. Tallies were distributed, places found and interesting progres gressions of rook ensued which left playing prizes with Mrs. W. M. Moorhead, for club members and Mrs. C. A. Butterworth for visitors. Mrs. Crawford was pre sented a gift for. helping serve. Those playing other than mem bers were, Mrs. Butterworth, Mrs. J. K. Willis, Mrs. J. M. Rhea and Mrs. D. G. Littlejohn Mrs. W. T. Weir Entertains New Organized Garden Club Wednesday night the newly or ganized Garden Club met with Mrs. W. T. Weir. Mrs. W? M. Moorhead was e lected temporary chairman. ? A nominating committee was selec ted, other business discussed. Mrs. C. F. Thomasson and Mrs. E. W. Grifin were invited to join the club. The next meeting will be held Thursday night, December 11, at 7:30 with Mrs. J. G. Darracott. A representative from the House and Garden Club will present the program.
