Boyce Huffstctler who is in pastor's school in Georgia for two more weeks. Rev. and Mrs. VV. L. McSwain and family moved Monday from the David's Parsonage to a new pastorate at Hollis. Mr. McSwain ? has served David's and Allen Me morial churches here for 4 years. Oil Friday night members of the church and friends gathered at the parsonage for a going away party. They received many nice gifts. Friday afternoon at 3 p. m. the El Bethel Home Demonstration Club met at the home of Mrs. Rush Dixon with Mrs. Guy Bar nett as joint hostess. They pre sented the program which was very interesting. At refreshment time they served ice cream, cake, and nuts. A large crowd was pre sent. Next month the group will meet with Mrs. Ted Ledfc-d and Mrs. Frank Hemdon as hostesses. Mr. and Mrs. Rufus Doster and Sherry are spending this week at the beach. Mrs. Faye Parker returned home Sunday from a hospital in Minnesota where she went for an examination last week. Mr. and Mrs. P. F. Jack Eaker, who has been in Korea in the armed forces for 15 months is on his way home. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Love announce the birth of a baby daughter last week at the Kings Mountain hospital. Mr. Love is in the U. S. Army, stationed now in Germany. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Gates of Spartanburg, S. C. spent the weekend here with Mr. and Mrs. A. P. Anthony. Mr. Gates is on a furlough, recently arriving from Africa. Mfllei Jenkins Rites Conducted Funeral services for Miller Jen kins, 92, long-time resident of Ellenboro and King3 Mountain native, were conducted Tuesday at 3 p. m. from El Bethel Metho dist church. Rev. Vess Jones and Rev. Ed McDanlel officiated, and inter ment was in the church cemetery. Mr. Jenkins died Monday morn ing at 2:01 at the home of his sister, Mr?. Roy Walker In Ellen boro.
