Mrs. Ben Hudson Feted With Luncheon Saturday Miss Rachel Plonk and Miss ( Nan Jean Gantt entertained Sat- 1 urday at 1 o'clock at the country j home of the Plonks with a lovely pink and green luncheon as a courtesy to Mrs. Ben Hudson, who before her marriage was Miss Shirley Houser, The home was decorated throu- 1 gthout with Calla lilies, gladioli, ! fever few and other flowers in pink. The luncheon was served buffet | style from the dining table which was overlaid with an exquisite | linen cut work cloth from Japan. Ten close friends of the honoree were present to share the graci ous hospitality. Mrs. Hudson was very striking | in a sheer sleeveless grey nylon dress. She was presented a shoul der corsage of pink rosebuds up on her arrival and later the hos tess gave her silver in her chosen pattern. ENGAGEMENT ANNOUNCED ? Mr. and Mrs. Haskell C. Wilson announce the engagement of their daughter, Betty Inn, to Edward Gordon Campbell, son of Mr. Charles B. Campbell and the late Mrs. Campbell. Both families are of Kings Mountain. Mrs. Arnold Kiser Honors Mrs. Hudson With Luncheon Mrs. Arnold Kiser entertained at a prettily appointed luncheon on Tuesday at 1 o'clock at her spacious home on East King Street. The occasion honored Mrs. Ben Hudson, a recent bride. Mrs. Hud son was very chic in a navy and white outfit, with white acces sories. A decorative note of yellow and white was carried out in graceful arrangements of gladioli and dai ses. Small tables for the serving of the guests were spread with white linen cut work covers cen tered with a silver container holding gardenias. Hand painted place cards were used. A very tempting two course luncheon was served. The hostess remembered the honoree with a gift of silver. Those present were the hono ree, Mrs. Hudson, and her mo ther, Mrs. George Houser, Mrs. 'David Kincaid, Misses Janice Al len, Christine Still, Rachael Plonk, Joyce Biser and Joan Mau ney of Spindale.
