Many of the football uniforms of last year's East team are also missing. FOOTBALL Plans are pending to sponsor 6- man football for midgets this fall. Mountaineer club uniforms I will be used and four teams fielded, under present plans. Sponsors have already been secured for basketball teams and tentative arrangements made for use of the gymnasium. Boys and girls teams are planned for 7th and Pih grade students. Centra' Methodist CHURCH NEWS By Mrs. Baxter Payseur On Tuesday night the Sr. M. Y. F. had a barbeque supper at Red's in Shelby, where- the winners in a recent attendance contest were treated to supper by the losers. Captain of the winning side was Eddie Goforth,. and Bud Mayes headed the losing side. At the MYF council meeting held last week with Mr. and Mrs. Baxter Payseur, program leaders for the rest of the year for the morning and evening meetings were outlined, also a hostess list for the year for monthly council meetings. Bud Mayes will be pro gram leader Sunday, also host to the council next month. Miss Mozelle Masters is to conduct a check list soon to discover pro gram needs of the group, and a retreat will be held to plan pro gram topics for the year. Next Sunday is "Victory and Advance Sunday, when the church will look over the year's achievements and to next year's hopes, also receive pledges to the church for the coming church year. The general meeting of the W. S. C. S. will be held Monday night at 8, after the spiritual life meet ing at 7:30 o'clock. Midweek Prayer Services are being held at 7:30 each Wednes day night, with discussions on "The Prayers of Jesus".
