Special guest for supper was Kerr Scott, form er governor of the state. Pro ceeds from thte Festival will start a fund to purchase an activity bus for the school. Each grade sponsored a talent program, win ner of the group was the 1st grade. Tuesday night was Family night for the Men's Progressive club of Bethware. They held a Christmas party and suppfer in the school lunch room. Saturday at 2:30 p. m. Mrs. Charles McSwain entertained at a birthday party at her home here for her daughter, Alice. Games and contests were enjoyed after which refreshments were served. Alice received many nice gifts from her many friends. Rev. C. W. Walker and daugh ter, Linda attended the funeral Friday of R. L. Jolly who was honors with 129, while Albert Brackett topped the losers with 316. Fred Wright, Jr., put together a 122 high line and a 320 set for top honors as the Mountaineers dumped the Luckies 1411 to 1323.
