Mrs. Erwin Hughes, circle chairman, called the meeting to order and presided over the busi ness session. A short devotional meditation was read. After the meeting, a social hour was enjoyed and refreshments Wert served. Gifts were exchang ed by members. New members | present were Mrs. James Child ers, Carolyn Earle, Linda Stewart and Mrs. Gene Goforth. A Christmas trt?e and other de corations on the mantel, green ery, pine-cones, holly, and berries decorated the living room. Mrs. Vera Cash, Mrs. Floyd Thornburg, Mrs. Eugene Mat thews, Mrs. Gaynell Thrasher,, and Mrs. James Cox were hos tesses for the event. Games were directed through out the evening. Refreshments consisting of iced cupcakes, sand wiches, cold drinks, and candies were served. Pine-cone and candle arrange ments were used in decoration. William R. George is teacher for the group. Margrace Girl's Club Held Meeting Thursday Margrace Girl's Club members held their pre-Christmas meteting Thursday night in the Margrace Woman's club house. Doris Sellers, club president, called the meeting to order and presided over the routlnlb business session. Plans were discussed to decorate the Woman's club house for Christmas. Patsy Dover, club secretary, read the minutes of the proceeding meeting. Mrs. James Bolin, counsellor, met with the group, 'fwo visitors were present. After the meeting, a social hour was enjoyed. The club will not meet Thurs day (Christmas Eve) but regular weekly meetings of the organiza tion will be resumed on Decem ber 31. Greene of Kings Mountain and Charlotte .. and Herman David Wright of Kings Mountain were united in marriage in a ceremony of re verence and simplicity Sunday at 12 o'clock noon before the altar of Patterson Grove Baptist church, near Kings Mountain. Thornburg, minister of th? ceremony church, heard the couple pledge vows of the impressive double ring ritual before a background altar banked with white gladioli and Oregon fern. . ? Robert Hicks, of Shelby, was pianist for the program of wed tling music prior iu uuu during the exchange of vows, and Mrs. Charles Staines, of Shelby, was vocal-soloist. "I Love- You Truly" by Bond was sung during the ceremony and played as vows were pledg ed. The Bridal Chorus from "Lo hengrin"' by Wagner was used for the processional, and Men delssohn's wedding march from "A Midsummer Night's Dfeam" was used for the recessional. The couple entered, the church and approached the marriage al tar together.
