Jlon. : "Clubettes" To Qrganize - At Meeting On Saturday Mr, and Mrs. Henry Nelsler and Mr. and Mrs. T. L. Kesle.r have organized a new club which meets Saturday night at 8 o'clock at the Country club. Members of the club may In clude all fifth, sixth,, seventh, and eighth grade students, children of club members, and each per son may invite a couple. ? Club admission is fifty cents per "person and the new club has been named the "Clubettes." Reservations are requested by Friday night and persons may telephone the club (860) to make reservations. Regular Meeting Held Of Methodist Circle 4 Members of Circle 4 of Central Methodist church met for their regular monthly meeting Monday at the home of Mrs, J. E, Rhea. Mrs. Ralph Mauney presided ovter the business session In the absence of Mrs. James Hamrlck, circle chairman, and was pro gram chairman for the meeting. Topic of her discussion was "The Might of Many." She discussed the uses of mon ey in the WSCS -and presented a pledge service. During the business session, the circle voted to miv? at the an nual Senior MYF banquet on May 25. A plant sale was conducted by Mrs. David L,. Saunders dur ing the social hour. . .i Mrs. Rhea was assisted in serv ing ice cream cake rolls and cof fee. Six circlte members attended the meeting, which was the final meeting for the church year. New circles will be organized next week at the regular WSCS meet ing. . - . ? ?? Baptist Night Circles Hear Dr, H. J. Appelman Night circles of First Baptist church met at the church Monday evening and .fteard Dr. Hyman J. Appelman, who made his first ap pearance here in his Cleveland County campaign. Dr. Appelman spoke on the sub- J jeet, "An Invasion From Heaven." The circles held short business meetings prior to the evening ser vice. Methodist Circle II Held Meeting On Monday Members of Circle II of Central Methodist church met Monday af ternoon at the home of Mrs. A. P. Warlick. Mrs. H. C. Mayes, circle chair man. presided over the business session after a devotional by Mrs. J. O. Plonk. Mrs. Hubert Carlisle, program chairman for the month, presented the program. During the social hour that fol lowed -the meeting. Mrs. Warlick was assisted in passing a dessert plate with tea. The meeting was opened with a period o 1 silehi prayer and Mrs. Jimmy Dickey read a devotional from Psalm 18. Two hymns, "Love Divine" and "Onward Christian^ Soldiers", were sung by the group. Miss Marion Arthur, program chairman for the meeting, dis cussed, "Childrtm's Homes io Mis souri." She emphasized, In her discussion, that the homes were ouilt on the style of an apartment building. Ten children with a married couple live in each of the four apartments. Htere they live as a family unit in a normal < atmosphere, she added. , During the business session, members planned a cake and pie sale which Is to be held on May 29 beginning at 9:30, Proceeds of the sale will go to the Building Fund of the church. Announcement was made that at the next meeting of the Wo man's Society of Christian Ser vice new officers of the WSCS will bfe installed and new circles will be formed. Mrs. Phil Shore, circle chairman, presided over the business session. Members closed the meeting by praying "The Lord's Prayer", and during the social hour, Mrs. Corn well was assisted by Miss Marga ret Cornwell and Mrs. Jim smith in passing dessert plates with coffee. Mrs. Bun Goforth presided over the meeting in the absence of Mrs. Clarence Pfiele, circle chair man. A cake and pie sale to hfe conducted bV the circle on May 29 was discussed. During the social hour that fol lowed the meeting, the hostesses passed a chicken salad course with fruit punch and a dessert.
